Dear Friends,

Eleventh Annual Graduation
It was indeed rewarding to see the candidates, professors, friends, and relatives gathered in the auditorium for the 11th annual graduation services of the Baptist Bible College! There was excitement and anticipation as everyone listened to the challenging address by Rev. Ray Brinson, pastor of the Victory Baptist Church in Nixa, MO and the Baptist Bible Fellowship field representative of Zambia. It’s always a joy to see those who have labored in our program receive their rewards for the work they have done for the past three or four years. This year’s group makes a total of 65 young people that we have prepared to carry out the mandate given by Paul to Timothy, “And the things that thou has heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

Baptism after 50 years
Over 50 years ago Don explained to his brother about the gift of eternal life. Jerry received Christ, but at the time his parents thought he was too young to be baptized. He went on to be successful as a Veterinarian’s assistant and later became a fire fighter in Florida for many years. He said that when he led his men into a fire, he knew he was okay no matter what happened, yet he did not have peace about his lack of following the Lord in believer’s baptism. Recently, he discussed this with his brother and asked Don to baptize him. Don agreed and after 50 years he had the privilege of baptizing his only brother. Afterwards we asked him how he felt and he answered, “Very peaceful and relaxed.” It’s never too late to obey God.

Prayer Updates
We are thankful that “The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” This verse has been our motto for over 30 years as we’ve tried to be faithful to the great commission to “go, teach, and baptize.” Certainly He has been with us and we thank Him for your being with us as we’ve taken the gospel around the world, first to Korea and then to Africa. Thank you for holding the ropes in prayer for us. Please continue to pray:

  1.  Mona is having a back fusion on November 5. She already has Lumbar 3, 4, 5 and S1 fused, and the way we understand it, the surgeon will fuse L2 to the first fusion. This is where the pain was coming from. Pray for a good recovery.

  2.  You will also want to rejoice with us as Don had successful surgery on his left eye this month. When he asked the surgeon about his glasses, he said, “You can take out the left lens if you want to.” So, he did and now he says, “I’m just wearing my glass, not my glasses. It looks funny, but it’s all I need.”

  3.  January will be here before we know it and we need new students for the Bible College classes that begin then. Pray during November and December that God will call young people into the ministry.

We appreciate your faithful and continued support.  We will notify you when thise prayer request are answered.  God bless and keep you all.
