Dear Friends,
August was a special month full of blessings and victories here in Uganda. Besides making real progress on our church roofing project, we had our first Bible Institute graduation, and Pastor Geoffrey Muhumuza baptized for the first time. This was the second baptism in his church, and he baptized four new church members.
The Bible Institute graduation was a very special event. The Mission Director of the Japan Baptist Bible Fellowship was our guest speaker. The ceremony was attended by over 260 people including families and friends of the graduates.
Six students graduated - five men and one lady. Pastor Muhumuza was one of them. Three of the other men are deacons in our town church. The other two graduates are Sunday School teachers. Pray for these graduates as several of the men have a burden to start new churches in their home villages.
Our church roofing project is also coming along well. We have managed to get all the shingles on the main roof before the start of the rainy season. But we still need to finish plastering the walls and get the two porch roofs done. Please continue to pray for this building project. Thank you.
