John Bosco Rembo is a 15-year-old boy in 3rd grade. His father is dead and his mother has AIDS. Sponsored through December 2009.
“My father died when I was five years old. My mother has AIDS and cannot care for me. So my Uncle gave me to a certain family where I was forced to help in making banana beer. I was collecting bananas and fetching one hundred 5-gallon jerrycans of water every day. I was harassed in that family. They forbid me to go to church or school. I was always sad seeing other children going to school. One day, I fell in the fire while making banana beer. I got burnt terribly. Instead of taking me to the hospital, they made me sleep with the chickens because my wounds began stinking terribly. They told me they could not waste their money taking me to hospital, until my Uncle came back and found me in the chicken house. He brought me to the hospital, and I was treated. I really don’t want to remember such a time in my life. I praise God that I am now in school, I have a place to sleep, I have food to eat, and my heart is full of joy and hope. I now know how to bring people to Christ. When I grow up, I want to be an engineer or a pilot. I am thankful to those who have sponsored me through the past two years, and I pray that God may find me other sponsors to continue sponsoring me in school. I also pray that God will bless Missionary Russ Daniels to be able to raise funds for our dormitories and classrooms.”
Patience Nabimanya is a 14-year-old girl in 3rd grade. Both of her parents died of AIDS. Sponsored through December 2009.
“I was born in an extremely poor family of six children. I’m the youngest of them all. By the time I came to the age of understanding, both my parents had already died. I never got chance to know them. Our family is very poor, with very little land, and that land is unfertile – it can’t support any crops. All my elder sisters went for early marriages because of suffering. I remained with my two brothers suffering, having no food. My brothers tried all the time to work hard in order to earn a living. I lived the life of no hope. But I praise God now. I’m happy to be in school and out of that situation. I am thankful to the Lord, because now I know how to read and write, and I can speak English. It is the grace of God. I pray for the church that sponsored me to continue supporting me.”
Renus Tumwesigye is a 13-year-old boy in 3rd grade. His father is dead, and his mother has AIDS. Sponsored through December 2009.
“My father died of AIDS when I was eight years old. I started missing classes because of school fees and other school necessities. My mother also has AIDS, and she struggled a lot to pay for my school fees. Finally I dropped out of school. I felt bad in my life for having no father. I lost hope and began to hate myself until Pastor Naboth came to our home. He got for me a sponsor called Bethel Baptist Church in America that sponsored me for school fees. I jumped up and felt happy. God thank you for keeping me in school and for using Bethel Baptist Church to support me.”

Timothy Asijari is a 14-year-old boy in 4th grade. His father is dead, and his mother has AIDS. Sponsored through December 2010.
“My father died when I was five years old. My mother failed to pay my school fees in time so I had to drop out of school. My mother has AIDS and is very poor. She struggled to care for me and provide my basic needs. Now I have been sponsored, and I am in Goodwill Baptist School. I am saved, and I have everything I need for school and accommodation. I am thankful to the Lord to see that now I am in a good school where I am cared for both physically and spiritually. I am in the youth choir at church, and I help my pastor by putting out the songbooks and Bibles on Sunday morning. I am also learning how to play the guitar. I pray that God may continue blessing my sponsors and provide sponsors for other orphans. In future, I want to be a pastor or an engineer.”
Evas Tukahirwa is a 13-year-old girl in 3rd grade. Her father is dead, and her mother has AIDS. Sponsored through December 2010.
“My father died when I was very young. After that, my mother could not afford to put me in school. Instead I had to work as a maid in order to get food. My boss used to abuse me. I am 13 years old. I thank God who put me back in school through my sponsors. I go to Goodwill Baptist School. It is a good school where the Word of God is emphasized, and where I have come to give my life to Christ. I love God. I am in the church youth choir. When I grow up, I want to be a doctor.”
Fortunate Akampurira is an 11-year-old girl in 4th grade. Her parents are both dead, and her grandmother has AIDS. Sponsored through December 2009.
“Both of my parents died when I was very young. I don’t remember them. I grew up knowing my grandmother as my mother. But she is very old. She is also suffering from AIDS. She failed to continue paying for my school fees. I was out of school for many years until Pastor Naboth came to our home and told my grandmother that I can go to Goodwill Baptist School. He got me a sponsor, an American lady called Gloria. I got so happy to see myself in school again. Through this school, I came to know Jesus as my Savior, and I have learnt much about God. But unfortunately my sponsorship ended last term. I am trusting in God to give me another sponsor so that I can remain in school.”
Anthony Twebaze is a 13-year-old boy in 3rd grade. His father is dead, and his mother has AIDS. Sponsored through December 2009.
“I was born in a peasant family. My father died of AIDS before I went to school. My mother struggled and put me in school, but later I had to drop out of school because of a lack of school fees. At the beginning of 2007, I was given sponsorship to Goodwill Baptist School, which is a ministry of Bible Baptist Church. In the church, I have found a new home, and I have found friends and counselors. I enjoy our evening prayers with Pastor Naboth. I thank God for the presence at Goodwill Baptist School where I have found hope.”

“My father died when I was seven years old. I lived with my aunt for one month. After that, my mother took me back, and we started living together. We suffered a lot because of having no food to eat. The landlords used to put us out of their houses because we failed to pay the rent. We kept shifting from here to there. But I praise God for using my sponsors to see that I have where to stay, have food to eat, and I am getting an education. God bless you all.”
Racheal Niweomugabi is a 10-year-old girl in 3rd grade. Her father is dead, and her mother abondoned her. Sponsored through December 2009.
“My father died when I was five years old. Since then I have been living with my grandfather who has been struggling much to support me in school. At times, I could miss school due to a lack of school fees. My mother left me after my father died, but God is good. I am in school now, and God saved me during one of the evening devotions at Goodwill Baptist School. God is providing me all the things I have been in need of through my sponsors in America. The American churches have sent me Christmas gifts and sent money that has put me back in school. God bless you all! Keep supporting us as we pray for you. I used to miss school, but now I am in a good school that teaches good behavior and is teaching us about God, unlike other schools. We have good Christian teachers. My sponsoring church gives me everything I need in school. Pray that God may continue blessing them and also that He will give us classrooms and dormitories. Thank you.”

Our life was full of problems – a life of no hope, but our mother encouraged us to keep praying to God and indeed, God answered our prayers. Pastor Naboth came and started to support our family with food through the Words of Hope Ministry. Then he got us sponsors for school, and now my brothers and I are able to attend Goodwill Baptist School. I am thankful to God to see that he is still taking care of me and provides me everything I need at school through my sponsors.”
Christine Amumpaire is a 9-year-old girl in Kindergarten. Her father is dead, and her mother has AIDS. Sponsored through December 2009.
“I am nine years old. By the time I grew up to understand, my father had already died. We have been living with our mother having no food to eat. The only way once in a while, some people could give us big work to do in order to earn a plate of food to eat. We suffered a lot until Words of Hope ministry started giving us food. I had lost hope completely, but now I thank God because I am in school where I am very well cared for. After I got sponsorship, my mother abandoned me, but God is my shepherd. I pray that I may continue being sponsored.”
Esther Amongin is a 13-year-old girl in 4th grade. Her father died in a civil war, and her mother died of AIDS. Sponsored through December 2010.
“My brother Moses and I were always sad because we were badly mistreated by our grandfather, uncles, and aunts. Our father died in the war against the Lord’s Resistance Army (L.R.A) in Eastern Uganda, and our home village was destroyed. Our mother then brought us back to her home area in Western Uganda. But her family mistreated us because our father was of a different tribe. They told our mother to take us back, but before she could manage it, she died of AIDS. Her family chased us away, but we had nowhere to go. My brother and I suffered a lot; they would not feed us. I was always sad while seeing other children going to school and not me, but I thank God for putting me back in school together with my brother. I gave my life to Christ, and He has been faithful to me. I thank God for finding me a new home at Bible Baptist Orphanage. Through my sponsors, I now have everything I need.”

Now I am at Goodwill Baptist School where I have enough beddings, clothes to put on, and my school fees being paid. I pray for my sponsors to continue supporting me. I gave my life to Christ during our evening devotions with Pastor Naboth.” (He is the brother of Esther Amongin)
Johnbosco Tumwine is a 14-year-old boy in 4th grade. His father is dead, and his mother has AIDS. Sponsored through December 2009.
“My father died when I was two months old; that’s what my mother says. After my father’s death, my mother was chased away from home three times by my uncles. From there, we children were taken to live with our grandfather who made us keeps grazing his cows and never allowed us to go to school. Later, our grandfather took us to live with one of our aunties. She failed to provide for us, so she also chased us from her home. There we felt no hope. My older brothers went to town to fend for themselves on the streets, begging so that they could survive the day. By the grace of God, my mother found a place to live and took me back to live with her. From there I met Pastor Naboth. One day he came to our house saying that he got some friends from American churches who had sent me money for Christmas gifts, and the balance of that money to be used to pay my school fees at Goodwill Baptist School. I praise God who has put me back in school, having food to eat and where to sleep. After the Lord showed me that love and care, I went ahead and got saved on my second day at school during the evening devotions.”

I never had books, pens, or pencils to use in class. One day, after I had been chased from school again, Pastor Naboth found me in the way crying. He took me to my grandmother and spoke to her, and I was taken to Bible Baptist Orphanage from where I attended Goodwill Baptist School and finished 4th grade. I am now going to 5th grade. In that process I gave my life to Christ. I thank God for providing me sponsors from U.S.A.”
