WHAT WE PRACTICE

THE BIBLE AS OUR SOLE AUTHORITY 2 Timothy 3:16
Because the Bible is the Word of God for us and is able to be trusted as complete truth, we accept the Bible as the final word for our lives. When faced with a problem or question, we first ask the question, "What does the Bible say?" We teach believers to read the Bible every day, to study the Bible, and to memorize the Bible to meditate upon it at all times. the Bible is the source of our faith and practice.

THE AUTONOMY OF THE LOCAL CHURCH Colossians 1:18
Christ is the head of our church, not a person, not a committee, nor a denomination. Although we fellowship together and cooperate together with other churches from time to time, we believe that each church should be independent and govern itself, following the leadership of Christ as the Head. There is no denomination or outside hierarchy which has any authority over our local church.

THE PRIESTHOOD OF EVERY BELIEVER Revelation 1:5,6; 1 Peter 2:9
The Bible teaches that every believer has the ability to approach God in prayer and Bible reading without the need of a priest or go-between. The Bible also teaches that every Christian is called to do the work of the God. One may be a mechanic and another a teacher, but all of us have been called to use our spiritual gifting and to do ministry in the church. In our church we encourage every believer to do some ministry and thereby serve God.

THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY CHURCH MEMBER TO TITHE Leviticus 27:30
In our church believers are taught to give their tithe for the church and the work of God. Giving a tithe (10% of your income) is a command of God as the starting place for our giving.

THE PROPER FORM OF BAPTISM BY IMMERSION Colossians 2:12
We baptize believers by only one mode, by immersion. That is the manner in which Jesus himself was baptized and is the only mode of baptism taught by the Bible.

THE LEADERSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT John 15:5
We believe that the Christian needs the power of the Holy Spirit in order to live a life pleasing to God. We make every effort to trust in God and His Spirit in order to do that which is right and pleasing to Him. (Ephesians 5:18; Philippians 2:13)

THE COMMAND TO TELL OTHERS ABOUT CHRIST 1 Peter 3:15
It is the responsibility of every Christian to tell others the good news of Jesus Christ. Believers in our church are encouraged to witness to others and to invite their neighbors, family and friends to the services of the church.
