Easter Celebration
|
|
As we were visiting the
building site Friday, March 25, 2005, Mary decided to have a
program for the children and some of the ladies of the village
to help celebrate Easter. Alexis and Paul assisted her in the
children’s program and Dominike took time out from the
construction to assist her in the translation to Mooré.
The celebration was well attended with over ninety children and
women present. Paul led the singing, Alexis gave a short message
on the resurrection of Christ and Mary taught the children the
significance of the Easter eggs in the resurrection story.
Here are a few pictures of the Friday morning celebration.

All of those present
received Easter eggs. Here are a few pictures

After the children’s
service, Mary went to the construction site and
handed out some Easter eggs to those working on the building.

The services were
well-received. Mary and the Institute students did a great job.
It was a tremendous blessing to see the excitement among the
children as they celebrated Easter in a different way from their
custom.
God is continuing to bless this mission work. Souls are being
saved, baptized and discipled. We stand amazed in His
wonder working power.
