Transportation Needs

NEW OPPORTUNITIES – NEW NEEDS

We are continually seeing the blessings of God upon the ministries here. He continues to open doors of opportunity for new works; such as in Tanghin. (Please see our Petits Annonces Page for the news on Tanghin.) With the increase of our ministry team, we have the potential preachers for commencing with these new opportunities, but lack some of the resources for moving forward. One such resource is for transportation for these young preachers to travel to these mission works.

(Earlier we asked for a special for our transportation needs and God met the need quickly. The work in Boulwando increased greatly, and as a result, another opportunity is opening up in Tanghin. We cannot relate to you how necessary, and beneficial, these mobylettes are. We have experienced their usage in ministry first hand, and are convinced of their effectiveness in our ministries here.)

With these thoughts in mind, we are seeking funds for three more mobylettes. The cost for one mobylette would be about $600.00. Would you be willing to purchase, or help purchase, one mobylette for the ministry here?

Please pray for this need of ours. If you are able to help, please send the funds to our mission’s office labeled “Transportation Needs.”

Some needs have been met.

We want to say “Thank you” for your prayers for this need, and a very special “Thank you” to the Springfield, Missouri couple who provided this need (pictured below).  This means of transportation, which is “normal” in Burkina, is a tremendous blessing to our young preachers who have to travel to our village work.  It has greatly enhanced their ministry opportunities as the time it now takes to travel back and forth between Ouagadouguou and Boulwando has been drastically reduced.  It is encouraging to have them leave Sunday morning and report back two hours after services that same day.  We can see that their excitement of what God had done during that morning services has not worn off.  Their enthusiasm is contagious!

 Original notice of the need

With the commencement of two different mission churches, the desire to start more mission churches, and the multitude of opportunities, it is impossible to be in all places at all times.
As these young preachers grow and take on more responsibilities by preaching at these different ministries, they are in need of transportation.

Public transportation is available, but not on a daily basis.  Sometimes it takes two full days to travel back and forth between villages.  For an investment of $1,200 to $1,500 a mopelytte can be purchased and the time cut to just a few hours.

Would you be willing to help out with the transportation costs?
