Dear Friends,

After much prayer and consultation with others we have decided, in the best interest of the ministry here in Burkina Faso, to seek funds for purchasing a home here in Ouagadougou.  Having made formal application through our sending church, Northeast Baptist Church of Independence, Missouri, and being approved just recently, we have been added to this year’s Missionary Projects Offering for September.

With much unrest throughout the region of West Africa, Ouagadougou continues to experience exponential growth.  (When we first started deputation ten years ago Ouagadougou’s population was listed as just under 500,000 people.  Today Ouaga’s population exceeds 2,500,000 people.) This tremendous increase in population has created a housing shortage that has greatly increased the price of available housing.  If we do not seek to find something permanent for our family we may be priced out of the area.
