Dear Friends,

While many of you have been having some bad snow storms and cold weather, we have been having some extremely hot and dry weather here. I believe I will stick with the hot and dry weather!

EASTER:
Plans are in process for our Easter services at Masakhane and Ntokozweni Baptist Churches. Our services during Easter are always a time of recommitment, great preaching and enjoyable fellowship for everyone. It seems as we finish our Easter services we are quickly looking at Easter again. Time flies by quickly.

BAPTISM:
We will be planning a baptismal service this month in March and for Easter as well.

TAXI RIDE:
On March 3rd (Thursday morning) I went out to the church to do some visits with Jacob. Instead we took a young lady to the doctor for her asthma. After seeing the doctor and as were going to leave my bakkie (truck) would not start - dead battery! After trying to jump the battery and it would not start Jacob began to look for someone to give us a lift to town so I could buy a new battery. As we were in a nearby township (Edendale) he found a taxi (10 - 12 seater van called a kombie) and the driver was willing to take us. As it was just the 3 of us and we began to leave the driver soon stopped to pick up 2 other men. Now I became nervous. An umlungu (white person) in a taxi and in the middle of a township. What was going to happen now? One hears enough stories of crime and fights in taxis. Many things started going through my mind what the 2 men would do. It is crazy what we allow our mind to think. Anyway, so I just asked the Lord to watch over Jacob and I. We did not go too far when the driver changed his mind and asked the 2 men to get out and he would be taking the umlungu and his friend in the taxi alone to town. They got out without arguing and doing what I had thought in my mind. Praise the Lord! Eventually we made it to town and back with a new battery and safely home. God does watch over us!

Thank you for your prayers and support.
