Our new Bible Institute classes here in the Kampala area are going on well. We finished the first course, and have now started the second one: Christian Family Living – a course on marriage, family relationships, and raising children. I have ten students enrolled in the class.
The exciting thing about this new ministry is that we are working with so many different tribes of people. In my Bible Institute class, I have students from seven different tribes representing each region of Uganda, as well as one from the neighboring country of the Democratic Republic of Congo. These students are also more educated than our previous students. They all speak English, and some speak three or four languages. Although a few are casual laborers, others are university students (including a law student), and some are professionals including a carpenter, a builder, a fisherman, a teacher, and a hairdresser.
We are excited about the potential of these students and others we are working with. This new ministry promises to have both a national and an international impact for the kingdom of God. We are trying to raise $200,000 for land and buildings for the new church and ministries here near the capital city. We pray that all of our supporters would get behind us and contribute to what we have now named the “Antioch Project.” It was from Antioch that Paul, Barnabas, John Mark, and Silas were sent out to evangelize the known world. Would you help us recreate an Antioch-type ministry in Uganda to reach our world for Christ? Please mark your donations “Russ & Sylvia Daniels – Uganda Antioch Project.” Thank you.Yours in Uganda,
Russ & Sylvia Daniels
